What is your history?

My lineage comes from Germany of bakers that have passed down the generations of some delicious recipes. I have posted our family's traditional ‘Apfel Kuchen” and hope to share more of these in the future. I have looked back and learned some family traditions that I put into my family today including, fermenting red and white sauerkraut, kombucha, kefir, different kinds of sourdough and yeast breads, rumtopf, canning, and many other food recipes. I have memories from my Oma, (grandma), in Germany driving to the dairy farm to pick up raw milk and to another farmer to pick up fresh eggs and produce. I was so moved by this along with my childhood of seeing my parents canning fruits and gathering honey and beef from a cattle ranch that has stuck with me. My desire at ‘Patricia’s Pantry’ is to provide healthy ingredients the way they were created and used for centuries.
